Chill!! With an attitude!

As I rush Ian out the door or have him clean-up his toys, he has been telling me to
"chi-i-l-l-l, Mommy." Can you believe that child?! The attitude starts early I guess. I try so hard not to smile or chuckle when he says this because I don't want him to think it is okay to talk to a grown up like that, but it sure sounds funny coming from him.

Paci-update............

Last night was a success. I bought him a fur-real puppy (since he has been wanting a real one) and he loves it so far. He keeps calling it Jacob for some reason though. I was hoping we could come up with a better name other than his cousin's name, but we'll see.....

Ian Turns 3

Wow! I can't believe Ian is going to turn 3 tomorrow. He is growing up so fast and since he is my last baby, I don't think I'm really ready for him to grow up. :)

We have not yet planned a birthday party, but I'm waiting for Justin to come home so we can decide what we are going to do. Usually we have it on our 4th of July celebration, but it just didn't seem appropriate this year without Justin.

Tomorrow night is the big night when the paci fairy comes to take away his pacifier (because he is way too old to be using it now); however, the paci fairy is supposed to deliver a new toy. Any suggestions on what to get him? I'm still trying to figure out what would be a good replacement for him.

On a side note, Ian has been watching Land Before Time these days. One of his favorite characters is Duckey who always repeats himself. So this is what Ian says lately, "mommy, I tired, I am, I am." or "mommy, I hungry, I am, I am." Anyone who has ever seen any of the Land Before Time series will know exactly what I'm talking about and probably think it is somewhat funny. What a silly little boy.

Well, wish me luck tomorrow night. I hope Ian is ready for big boyhood. I'll keep you posted. I've got to get back to school work now.....will post more later.

Kayla & Val say Goodbye....for now

Well, Kayla is off to California and Valerie is off to Buffalo, then Dallas, and then Louisiana. Unfortunately, the girls will not be seeing each other until one of them hops on a plane to see the other one. Here is a picture of the inseparable duo who finally had to part ways for now. It was so sad to see them say their goodbyes. There is definitely a strong friendship there that will last a lifetime.

July 4th 2009

Well, the Adam/Justin traditional 4th of July party this year had to go on without Justin. We had our usual huge party at Adam's house this year and unfortunately, he had to do all the grilling on his own. Alison and I were there to help with the load but we couldn't help with everything Justin normally does. Because it was such a busy time, I was not able to take many photos, but here are a couple from our 4th of July.
